Dave Freeman

Business Advisor

Dave is based in the Bay of Plenty and loves working with businesses to help them achieve their version of success.

We all spend way too much time working to not allow ourselves to enjoy it. Home should be filled with love and laughter, and work should be no different. My mantra is that if you apply love to any challenge, you get the best possible outcome.

Personal Profile

Dave is based in the Bay of Plenty and loves working with businesses to help them achieve their version of success.Results-driven, he immerses himself in businesses to understand what makes them tick, leverages their strengths, identifies opportunities, and creates action to take them to the next level.

He understands that no business is the same, but also knows that many of the problems they face are similar, if not the same. You’ll find Dave to be passionate and energising, as well as reflective and insightful.

He has over 35 years’ business experience, ranging from:

  • Very small (10 employees) to very large (200,000 employees) enterprises
  • Fashion brand development and General Management to international supply chain and strategy coaching
  • Interstate transport operations to large-scale criminal activity investigations
  • 15 years in the kiwifruit industry, including brand and strategic development for a high-profile post-harvest entity

All scenarios have shared two common and core essentials: the need for effective communication and a clear, tangible, and achievable values-based vision and strategy. He is passionate about leadership and believes everyone can lead, no matter where they sit formally within a structure.

Being intelligent and curious, his brain rarely stops, and he delights in the way
“the old people who do the filing in my head keep working on problems in the background until a solution has been identified.”  He will always ask questions and is inspired by those who know their stuff.

Dave loves what he does and understands how precious life is. He believes that time at home with loved ones is valuable and fulfilling, and that work should be the same.

“We all spend way too much time working to not allow ourselves to enjoy it. Home should be filled with love and laughter, and work should be no different. My mantra is that if you apply love to any challenge, you get the best possible outcome.” (He is only too willing to discuss this philosophy with you.)

He is values-driven, finds joy in success, and loves the thrill of a good challenge, but believes success must be rooted in respect, empathy, and integrity. Winning is great, but it must be accepted with grace.

Values should be stated, agreed upon, and lived. With that comes accountability, and he insists that he is held accountable for his actions.
